Patti LaBelle, The Manhattans, Ashford and Simpson, Chuck Jackson and More Celebrate a Living Legend - Hal Jackson Celebrates 65 Years in Broadcast History

Hal Jackson, Patti LaBelle, The Manhattans featuring Gerald Alston, Ashford and Simpson, Chuck Jackson and more luminaries from the broadcast and music industry will be on hand at this special evening celebrating Hal Jacksons 65 years in broadcast excellence.

November 3, 2004 -- A magical evening benefiting the Youth Development Foundation, Inc., the non-profit organization founded in 1971 which promotes culture and education through the performing arts and awards scholarships.

Hal Jackson, Group Chairman of ICBC Broadcasting Holdings, and host of the WBLS long-running 8-hour program, Sunday Classics, will be honored for his civic leadership and commitment to the music industry during the gala affair. Chairpersons for the event include Charles Warfield, COO and President of ICBC Broadcasting Holdings, Berry Gordy, Jr., founder of Motown Records and Jheryl Busby, Busby Management.

There will be special musical performances by Patti LaBelle, The Manhattans, Ashford and Simpson, Chuck Jackson, and more, under the musical direction of Ray Chew.
